Particularly in cases of dietary change, well-coordinated flavour and sweetener formulations can guarantee that feed absorption is maintained and thereby safeguard animal performance.

Sodium saccharin and NHDC are of special significance for successful application because these components have mutually complementary sweetness profiles.

An immediately intense but short-lived sweetness is characteristic of saccharin. NHDC is tasted later but stays sweet much longer.
